The YPA show will open on January 11, 2011 at Calumet Gallery (22 W. 22nd Street, 2nd floor New York, NY), will include 3 of my images, and will run until January 20!

I am very excited about having the opportunity to show some of my work in this show.

Attended the YPA Portfolio Review last Saturday. What an amazing opportunity for me. I showed my portfolio to several talented and successful people within the photography community and received great advice. My fellow attendees were extremely talented photographers…Michael Morrison (michael-morrison.com) and Oliver Pauk (oliverpauk.com) – two of my favorites. Their work is so strong and I loved it. So inspired by Jerry Tavin (YPA founder) and Lindsey Nicholson who run the YPA and give back so much to all of us.

Hey, we all have to pay our bills so I am doing something I never aspired to – weddings. It’s nothing like I thought it would be. It really is awesome. I love the drama of it, all the emotions. You are with people on this incredibly important day and they are vulnerable. They have to trust you and it’s your job to capture it, everything they are feeling. You get one chance to get it right and I am feeding off that pressure. Never thought I would feel this way about it. Very surprising – in a really good way.
